Intel 82945g Express Chipset Driver Update
Posted : admin On 03.01.2020With regard to the drivers that would come from Microsoft via Windows Update, two things will help ensure you are up and running quickly: first, when you run the installation, choose to allow the installer to connect to Microsoft to look for updated drivers. When I upgraded over XP on my system, I had a few devices that said they'd need MS Update drivers - including my network card (critical for later updates, of course). That driver was pulled down and installed during the initial Vista installation.
Second, after your initial installation, immediately run Windows Update to get more drivers the system detects it needs. For anything that does not come down automatically, use 'update driver' in the Device Manager.I did find that in an upgrade over XP, many of my devices listed as needing drivers from the manufacturer did work, although some worked in a limited capacity. Ultimately, what that statement means is that the vendor is responsible for supplying Vista drivers for the hardware. I was told I needed to update the Intel Graphics driver (Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family) in order for the game to play smoothly. The problem is that after I downloaded and installed the driver from Microsoft, I got this messge: The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer. That would be Dell. The obvious would be to go to Dell and download it, but I guess before I do that -I hope they have it and it's FREE- does anyone else suggest anything else or another place I can go?Thanking you in advance,Oceabrz.
