Friends,I found another Model 760 rifle this PM at an out-of-state store & am wondering if someone has a 'date of manufacture list' by serial number.(The barrel was, I believe, changed out when it was rebored/rechambered by JES to 9.3x62mm & thus the 'barrel code' is useless for 'dating' the rifle.)The reason that I'm trying to find out the year is that I would prefer to have the 760 shipped directly to me as a C&R Licensee, IF the receiver is 50+ years old.THANKS for reading this post.yours, satx. To admin; All,Actually, inasmuch as the receiver of my rebored/rechambered Model 760 was NOT made 50 or more years ago (The receiver was made in 1968 or 1969.), it isn't C&R, so I bought it through a local FFL dealer.(Also, inasmuch as 9.3x62mm Mauser is NOT the original caliber, I'm not sure that it could ever be C&R, as it's NOT 'in original configuration'. = Given the incompetence, evasiveness & obvious lack of honesty of Resident Zero's BATFE policies, I'm NOT at all sure that you can trust anything that the agency says.)Twenty bucks was a cheap price to get it to me, so that I could start shooting the rifle.THANKS to ALL for your input.
