How To Replace Tcpmon.ini Vista
Posted : admin On 17.01.2020I am trying to install my Brother printer, HL-4070CDW on a vLited Vista x64 SP1.The problem is, when i go to install it it says it can't find tcpmon.dll, tcpmon.ini, and tcpmon.hlp.I copied over the files, excluding tcpmon.hlp from my parents windows xp install. That seemed to go fine, but once it got past that it gave me an error stating:Operation could not be completed (error 0x000000704). The specified port is unknown. So i was wondering if you could help me with those 2 problems.1. Help me identify what vlite is removing that is taking the tcpmon files with it.2. What am i removing that is getting rid of the port that i need.i even tried doing the KeepFiles that works in nlite, but that didn't work. The install works fine on a non-vLited install. Thanks for any help. Its much appreciated. Check your PM.You shouldn't be removing so much stuff if you're actually going to use the system. Stick to removing the stuff that takes up a lot of diskspace and just manually disable the rest once you have it installed (especially services).Thanks.
Im actually on a Ratail version install now. And i added the tcpmon files in syswow64 to the keepfiles list in vlite. Before i was only keeping the files in the system32.
And i think it needs the 64 bit files. Thanks for all the trouble you went to to upload them for me though. And i have never had a problem before this. I normally run my builds with that much stuff removed.
